Info: The album A DATE WITH ELVIS was like the previous album FOR LP FANS ONLY a compilation release. Since Elvis was still in Germany at this time to do his military service. The album featured a gatefold cover showing Elvis leaving for Germany, and on the back was a calendar for the coming year 1960, marked March 24, the official end of Elvis' two-year military service. A total of 170,000 copies of the LP went over the counter and gave A DATE WITH ELVIS number 32 in the Billboard charts.

Da sich Elvis zu diesem Zeitpunkt immer noch in Deutschland aufhilt um seinen Militärdienst abzuleisten. Das Album enthilt ein Gatefold Cover das Elvis bei der Abreise nach Deutschland zeigte und auf der Rückseite ein Kalender für das kommende Jahr 1960 in diesem war der 24. März markiert, das offizielle Ende von Elvis zweijährigen Militärdienst. Insgesamt 170.000 Kopien der LP gingen über den Ladentisch und bescherrten A DATE WITH ELVIS Platz 32 in den Billboard Charts
